Shipping Information

We ship via UPS within the continental United States. We are unable to ship to P.O. boxes or APO/FPO addresses.  We do not ship to Alaska, Hawaii, Canada, Mexico, Puerto Rico, or overseas.

We cannot be responsible for any weather-related delivery delays or delivery delays or package returns if you provide an incorrect or incomplete recipient address. Please be sure to include any company name, apartment number, floor number, or unit number in each recipient's address and contact us promptly at 800.344.4417 if you must make any address changes to your order.

Shipping Options

When choosing your desired arrival date and shipping method, please be aware that business days refer to weekdays (Monday through Friday) and exclude certain legal holidays. 

When ordering, the first available arrival date for the shipping method selected is initially offered. If desired, you may change this date to a later arrival date.

With Ground shipping, your order will arrive BY the requested arrival date and may arrive earlier. We can only assure delivery on a specific date if you choose Next Day Air, Second Day Air, or Saturday Delivery as your shipping option.

Ground: Your order ships five business days before the requested delivery date. Since an order takes from one to five business days to arrive, your order might arrive earlier than your requested delivery date. All orders ship from New York.

Next Day Air: Your order ships one business day before your requested arrival date. Orders received before 12pm EST will arrive the next business day (Tuesday through Friday). Online orders placed after 12 noon EST on Thursdays will ship on Monday for Tuesday delivery.

Second Day Air: Your order ships two business days before your requested arrival date.

Saturday Delivery: Your order ships the day before the Saturday arrival date that you requested. Orders for Saturday delivery must be placed by Friday at 12pm EST. Saturday UPS service is not available to some zip codes.

To ensure your order arrives in fresh condition:

  • Cakes, pastries, and white truffles ship ONLY via Next Day Air or Saturday Delivery regardless of time of year. Monday delivery is not available for these items.
  • If you request an arrival date between April 15th and September 30th for chocolate, gift baskets, or gift towers, Next Day Air is the ONLY shipping option. Monday delivery is not available for these items during this time period. If warm weather conditions (75 degrees or over) exist at other times of the year, we reserve the right to offer only expedited shipping methods for these items.
  • Depending on your product selection, your package’s destination, and temperature conditions, we will contact you if weather conditions necessitate a change in your shipping method.

When your order ships, we'll send you an email. The subject line will say: Black Hound New York -- Shipment # for Order # and list your UPS tracking number at the bottom of the page. You can track your package on www.ups.com.  If you have a Black Hound New York account, you can also track it through your account.
