| Valentine's Day Ordering And Shipping Tips |
| Valentine's Day is Sunday, February 14 |
- Since Valentine’s Day is on a Sunday this year, your order must arrive before February 14. Saturday UPS delivery is available in most areas but at an additional charge. Avoid these additional shipping charges as well as weather-related shipping delays that can occur during the winter: Schedule your order to arrive by Thursday, February 11 or Friday, February 12. If you request delivery on Friday, February 12, and UPS is unable to deliver your package that day, they will not attempt redelivery until Monday, February 15. We cannot be responsible for any weather-related delays or delivery delays if you provide an incorrect or incomplete recipient address.

- All cakes and pastries contain detailed serving and storage instructions so your selection stays fresh for serving the day following arrival or days later. Our cookies, truffles, and other products are also designed to remain fresh for enjoyment for several weeks after their arrival.

- Cakes and pastries are freshly made, then frozen just prior to UPS shipping. Allow sufficient time for cakes to come to room temperature before serving. A 9" cake could take 9 hours to reach room temperature.

- Cakes, pastries, and items containing white truffles always ship via Next Day Air. Your order arrives the next business day after it is shipped. Next Day Air packages are delivered to most zip codes in the morning.

- Ground Shipping: For items for which ground shipping is available, your order usually ships five business days before your requested delivery date. Since an order takes from one to five business days to arrive, your order might arrive earlier than your requested delivery date. All orders ship from New York. To assure delivery on a specific date, choose Next Day Air, Second Day Air, or Saturday Delivery for your shipping option.

- For delivery within Manhattan or other NYC boroughs: We offer UPS delivery and hand delivery within New York City. Please call 800.344.4417 to inquire about hand delivery pricing. We can only assure hand delivery within NYC if you order by phone. Hand delivery is available seven days a week, including Valentine’s Day. With hand delivery, someone must be available to sign for the order. Hand-delivered cakes and pastries are not sent frozen.

- Shipping To Colleges: Check with the school for the correct way to address packages shipped via UPS and inquire whether students can pick up packages on Saturdays if you are considering a Saturday delivery. At most schools, UPS delivers to a centralized mailroom; the mailroom then notifies the student to pick up the package. We recommend that you inform the recipient a package will arrive on a specified date so he/she can follow-up with the mailroom even before receiving notification. We cannot be responsible if students do not pick up their package in a timely manner.

- Shipping To Apartment Buildings, Condos, Etc: Building policy determines if packages are delivered directly to the recipient or go to a designated location (e.g. package room, management office, doorman). In locations where packages are delivered directly to recipients, packages will be left without signature at the UPS driver's discretion. We cannot be responsible if recipients do not pick up their package in a timely manner from a building-designated pickup location.

- If the recipient isn't home at time of delivery: Packages will be left without a signature at the UPS driver's discretion. Based on our experience, drivers will require a signature at business addresses and for residential addresses in large urban areas and multi-resident buildings (e.g. apartment buildings, condos). If you ordered by phone and requested hand delivery within NYC, someone must be available to sign for the delivery.

- When your order is placed online or through our 800# (800.344.4417), you will receive an email from Black Hound New York Customer Service confirming your order with order details. Please review carefully and contact us immediately if you must make any changes.

- When your order ships, you will receive an email from UPS. This email, with a return address of "QuantumView", includes your UPS package tracking number. Use the link in that email to check delivery status of your package. If you have questions about the tracking, please contact us at 800.344.4417 during our business hours (weekday, 9am to 5pm ET).
